To house the excavated antiquities, the Guwahati Circle has one Archaeological Museum at Sri Suryapahar in Goalpara District of Assam, which was inaugurated on 25/11/2004.
Besides, two sculptures sheds,one at Unakoti in North Tripura District of Tripura and another at Thakurani Tilla in South Tripura District of Tripura have been constructed to house the excavated as well as the loose sculptures.
The total collection of the museum is 174 consisting of the antiquities unearthed from the archaeological excavations by the Guwahati Circle during the 90s and few terracotta plaques depicting panels of Buddha and carved bricks collected from the nearby locality have been exhibited.
The antiquities are mostly of terracotta but a few stone carvings and sculptures found from the site are also displayed. Some of the important exhibited antiquities among the stone sculptures are the images of mahisasuramardini, gajasimha, stela fragment depicting vidyadharas and kirtimukha. Among the terracottas notables are plaques of human figures, mythical animals, kirtimukhas, amlaka fragments, decorated lion head, moulded fish, decorated bricks, decorated tiles of floral and geometrical designs are remarkable.
